BlueJeans Video Conferencing
Usage
BlueJeans is a Video Conferencing application available to TRIUMF from BCNET. It is best used when conducting video or audio meetings with non-TRIUMF people but works reliably for TRIUMF only meetings.
In order to schedule meetings in BlueJeans you will need an account - see below. If you are only joining a meeting, click on the link in the invitation email. Credentials are not required.
Desktop sharing is very easy to use and works well.
Notes:
- A VPN connection is not required to participate in a BlueJeans session. It is hosted in the cloud and not at TRIUMF.
- Avoid running BlueJeans through Remote Desktop sessions. It often leads to poor audio and video.
- BlueJeans is compatible with Windows, MacOS, Linux, iPhone, Android.
BlueJeans Account
Required only if you need to create meetings.
You can request a BlueJeans account by submitting a ticket to the TRIUMF Helpdesk at https://helpdesk.triumf.ca and choosing the Audio and Video Conferencing queue or by sending an email to rt-video-conf@helpdesk.triumf.ca.
