Server Computing
The TRIUMF IST group provides Windows and Linux servers that can be used to run applications that are not installed on your local machine. Both platforms provide a full remote-desktop experience with a mechanism for sharing files between the server and your local machine. This often eliminates the need for desktop machines to have multiple operating-systems installed in either dual-boot mode or with local virtual-machines.
