Webfolder Access
TRWIN Webfolder is based the webdav protocol over HTTPS. This access method is available on-site and off-site and it is beneficial to users who need to access the TRWINDATA file repository remotely

Notes: TRWIN users' home on trwindata2 is not accessible through Webfolder at the moment, however they can be accessed by mean of FTP. The contents of each WebFolder is dependant upon the users access rights to these folders on TRWINDATA.
Connection procedure
Before connecting to the Webfolders, you will need install the TRIUMF root certificate for server authentication. To install the TRIUMF root certificate, please follow the instruction here.
- Launch the Add Network Place wizard. In XP, click Add a network place under My Network Places. In Windows 7, right-click on the Computer icon and select the A network location option.
- Follow the instructions on the Wizard and select Choose a custom network location in XP or Choose
another network location in Windows 7 when prompt.
- In the "Internet or network Address:" box, enter in one of the above internet addresses.
- Logon to the server on the next screen. Enter in your user name followed by @trwin for example: smith@trwin. Type in your password and click OK.
- Type in a name for this network place such as "M: Drive on TRWIN" or "S: Drive on TRWIN" and then click next
- Click on Finish on the next screen.
- You now have a connection to TRWINDATA through WebFolders.
- For each share on the server you need to create a new WebFolder therefore repeat the above procedure for each volume you need access to.
TIPS on using Webfolder
WebFolders are not mapped drives therefore some applications may not be able to access them directly.
Consider copying the files you want to work with onto you local disk such as C:\temp and work on it from there. When you have finished with it copy it back into the WebFolder.
