Atempo LiveBackup Client Installation

Before installing the LiveBackup client, please make sure your systems meet the following requirement.

Supported Platforms: Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7, Mac OX 10.4.11 or later or 10.5.x
Hard Disk: At least 100M local disk space, 500M is recommended


Windows

Open Internet Explorer (other browsers will not work) and type http://trwinbackup.triumf.ca/lbclient in the address field and hit Enter.

 Click "Click here to continue".
Click the Information Bar in the Internet Explorer and select install the Atempo ActiveX control, click install to install the ActiveX control.

  Click "Click here to install LiveBackup Client".

The setup wizard starts, click next to continue.

Check "I accept the terms in the license agreement" in the license agreement windows, click next to continue.

When prompted for the program\cache file folder locations, change the destinations to desired locations or click next to use the default location.

Click next to use the default Livebackup server name.

 Click next to use the default client name.

Click Install to start the actual installation.
Click finish to complete the installation.
Click yes to have the installation restart the system, or choose no to schedule a restart later. A system restart is a requirement for a successful installation of the Live Backup client software.


Mac

Open Safari (or any Web Browser) and point to http://trwinbackup.triumf.ca/macclient/lbmacsetup.zip. The Mac download window appears and shows progress of the download.
When the download completes, a message appears: "Live Backup for Mac.pkg" contains an application. Are you sure you want to continue downloading?" Click Continue.
When promted for the LIve Backup Server name/address, please enter trwinbackup.triumf.ca:8080. Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
